This Red Barn was found while traveling near one of my favorite midwest towns, Cedarburg, Wisconsin. You could get lost in the wide open space. There are many barns in this area of the country. Such a beautiful place. This watercolor started as a small study for a larger painting and I found myself not stopping till it was a finished piece.

/ November 19, 2013I could not seem to post replies – so I will tell you my comments. I loved the barn – and the surrounding countryside. I could see why you chose it, Yvonne. I loved the colors you had in the meadow surrounding the barn, both the grasses and the trees. I also loved your painting of apples and pears – which we saw at the WD Library. Really beautiful.
Believe it or not, there is an old barn right in the middle of Paulsboro that Walter and I pass each time we do Meals on Wheels. It is so old and needs repairs and paint, but it intrigues me.

/ November 20, 2013Hello,
Thank you, so glad you liked the painting. I’m sorry about the confusion for the workshop. Lynne thought you were coming. I have not done the flyer yet, but I am teaching another 8 week workshop starting in January. My best thoughts are to go into the Gallery and they can sign you up. I am limiting the seats to 6 people.
Thanks again,
Yvonne

/ November 22, 2013WOW!!! When I first saw this in class, I thought in looked like a metal lunch box, it is amazing, what a difference. I also have seen one very similar in upstate New York, near Chautauqua. You are truly inspiring!
Love, light and gratitude,
Barbara
