“Jazzy Afternoon” was painted during the Wilmington Jazz Festival. I will definitely be returning next summer. Pictured is Sammy Miller and The Congregation. They tore the place up! Plein Air Brandywine Valley teamed up with the city of Wilmington, DE to promote the event and raise awareness for Children’s Beach House. cbhinc.org
I wanted to capture the vibrancy of both the scene and the music. Tough to capture as they are in constant movement. I did find myself painting faster to match the beat. Fun group as you can see by the photo below.
