I love southern New Jersey! There is just something about it that keeps me here. “Farm Market” watercolor is the 2nd painting of this produce stand. Such a great scene, but how does one start? For me, it is thumbnails to figure out what is important. Once I am to the final drawing I can usually paint without being there or refer to the reference. This allows for a lot of interpretation, which I think every artist values.You are so into it that the painting part flows. This was a fun one of a local icon. Size is 11×14 and is painted on Arches 140lb cold press. You can see a bit of the process from the photos below.
